RI Supreme Court Misc. Order; RILS Board of Directors Vacancies

Pursuant to the by-laws of the Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. (RILS) and the Legal Services Corporation Act, the Rhode Island Bar Association may appoint attorneys to the Board of Directors of Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. Terms are for three years, and there are currently two vacancies. RILS is happy to have attorneys who have an interest in and knowledge of the delivery of legal services to the poor. Please note that 45 CFR Section 1607.3(3) states that appointments shall be made as to insure that the attorney members reasonably reflect the diversity of the legal community and the population of the areas served by the agency, including race, ethnicity, gender and other similar factors.
