Welcome to the Rhode Island Bar Association Continuing Legal Education (CLE) page. Here, you can access information about upcoming live CLE seminars, online seminars, and our latest publications.
Every year, the Rhode Island Bar Association CLE Committee, in collaboration with our dedicated staff, organizes over 60 continuing legal education programs for our esteemed members. 
As a member of the Bar, you are required to complete ten hours of continuing legal education each year, with two of those hours dedicated to ethics and professionalism. We are committed to providing high-quality seminars, workshops, and courses in various formats and locations to help you meet this requirement. If you have an idea for an upcoming seminar or would like to participate as an instructor for CLE, we invite you to submit a proposal form. Your contribution and expertise are highly valued, and we appreciate your interest in enhancing our program.
CLE Seminar Calendar
CLE seminars are offered as in-person and/or virtual programs via Zoom. Our CLE offerings are designed to be creative, topical, and diverse, catering to the needs of practitioners in Rhode Island at every level of experience.
If you register for a webinar, the Zoom link will be sent to you 24-48 hours prior to the program.
2024 Annual Meeting
We are excited to announce that our highly anticipated Annual Meeting is scheduled for June 13 & 14, 2024, at the RI Convention Center! For more information on the Annual Meeting and to access the Annual Meeting Proposal Form, please click the link above. Proposals are due by November 8, 2023, so act quickly to get your proposal in! All RIBA members are encouraged to submit a proposal.
CLE Publications
We are pleased to inform you that our publications are now paperless! Instead of receiving physical copies, you will receive your publications via email, using the email address provided during purchase. This change allows for greater convenience and faster delivery of our valuable resources. Please allow up to 5 business days for delivery. On-Demand CLE Seminars
We are proud to offer a diverse selection of programs, not only from the RI Bar but also from other esteemed bar associations across the United States. Within our catalog, you will discover a wealth of knowledge, with programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of Rhode Island attorneys. These programs cover a wide range of legal topics and are presented by experienced practitioners and experts in their respective fields. Please note: Rhode Island attorneys may earn a maximum of six credits through video replay (on-demand) seminars. There is no limit on live webcast credit accrual.

REMINDER: According to Article IV Rule 3, all Continuing Legal Education credits must be reported to the MCLE Commission by June 30th each year. You can conveniently report these credits electronically through the Supreme Court's Attorney Portal, which can be accessed herePlease note that credits can be stored and submitted at any time during the CLE year (July 1 - June 30), eliminating the need to wait until the last minute.
