If you have placed an order with the Rhode Island Bar Association, your CLE seminar registration is subject to space availability. You should receive final confirmation by email. With regard to publication orders, please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

CLE Program Proposal

The Rhode Island Bar Association CLE Committee, working with the Association's staff, plans and carries out an annual program of over 60 continuing legal education programs for members of the Bar. The Bar’s CLE offers a creative, topical and substantively diverse calendar to meet the varied needs of Rhode Island's practitioners at all levels of experience.

All members of the Bar are required to attend ten hours of continuing legal education annually. (Some exceptions are allowed. Please check Section 3.2 of the MCLE regulations.) To meet this requirement, two hours must deal with ethics and professionalism. The Association is committed to offering a variety of high quality seminars, workshops, and courses in many formats and locations. The CLE programs are developed by and for Rhode Island practitioners. An up-to-date calendar and registration information is available here.

REMINDER
Pursuant to Article IV Rule 3 all Continuing Legal Education credits must be reported to the MCLE Commission by June 30th each year.   These credits must be reported electronically through the Supreme Court’s Attorney Portal located here.

Credits may be stored and submitted at any time during the CLE year -- July 1- June 30 - rather than waiting until June 30.  If you have questions about this requirement please call the MCLE Commission at 401-222-4942 or click here.
