Pursuant to the terms of RIGL §8-16-1, Governor McKee's office has notified the Rhode Island Bar Association of three vacancies with respect to the Commission on Judicial Tenure and Discipline. There are immediate openings with the term periods as follows:

The Commission on Judicial Tenure and Discipline was created in 1974 to provide a forum for complaints against any justice of the Supreme Court and any judge or magistrate of the Superior, Family, District, and Workers' Compensation Courts, or the Traffic Tribunal. The Commission reviews allegations of violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct.
Any Bar member who is interested in consideration for a Rhode Island Bar Association recommendation to the Governor's office for the Judicial Tenure and Discipline Commission vacancies, please submit a letter of interest and your resume to Kathleen Bridge, Executive Director, at kbridge@ribar.com by Tuesday, May 24 at 5:00 pm. All applications will be forwarded to the Bar's Executive Committee for review and determination of the Bar candidate list that will be forwarded to the Governor.
