Statements on the Passing of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg; RI Superior Civil Motion Calendar Protocol for Washington County; Upcoming SSDI Law CLE Webinar

The passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the United States Supreme Court is a great loss to the legal community and the country she so loyally served. The topic of equal justice has been in the forefront of discussion lately as those in our profession work to improve the law and the administration of justice. There are not many individuals I can think of who fought for equal justice under the law more fiercely than Justice Ginsburg. Having experienced discrimination based on her gender firsthand, throughout her career she was a pioneer for gender equality and an ardent advocate of civil rights. She became a hero to an entire generation of women and, more recently, a cultural icon. In our profession, we can honor her legacy by continuing to fight for equal justice for all and to defend the rule of law. Her contributions to the law will continue to inspire and empower future generations of lawyers.
