Coronavirus Update: Central Falls Municipal Court; WebEx Tutorial Prepared by RI Superior Court; Compliance Issues for Virtual Workforce

We will continue to pass along pertinent information related to the coronavirus crisis as we receive it.

The Central Falls Municipal Court is canceling the currently scheduled April 21, 2020 court date (this was a rescheduled date). All citations that were originally scheduled for March 24, 2020 will be continued to June 16, 2020 and all citations originally scheduled for April 7, 2020 will be rescheduled to June 30, 2020. All new summonses/citations issued by the Central Falls Police Department that will be heard by the Municipal Court are being scheduled in July 2020.

Last week, we circulated a memo from RI Superior Court Associate Justice Brian P. Stern related to remote hearings. We would like to circulate once again the tutorial prepared by the RI Superior Court to assist and educate attorneys about the conference and hearing process as well as the WebEx platform. Click here for the tutorial. There is also a link in the tutorial to a full-length test remote hearing that was recently conducted.
