No Double-Dipping: Evolving Rules for Conflicts of Interest in Real Estate Transactions
Available in-person or as a live webinar
Recent legal decisions and industry changes have highlighted emerging ethical concerns in real estate closings, an area previously seen as low-risk. This program will explore ethical issues in representing multiple parties, such as conflicts between buyers and sellers, buyers and lenders, buyers and title insurance companies, and potential conflicts involving referral sources like real estate agents and loan originators.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify and interpret relevant ethical rules
- Recognize "red flags" indicating potential ethical problems
- Implement solutions to avoid ethical issues
