This presentation concentrates on the use of medical affidavits and property damage affidavits as evidence in trial. The discussion reviews the most effective use of affidavits, the statutory requirements for use of affidavits, and the effect of the 2012 amendments to R.I. Gen. Laws § 9-19-27. Practical evidentiary considerations are also discussed.
