Bridge the Gap for New Attorneys
The Bridge the Gap course is a mandatory program for all newly admitted Rhode Island attorneys. It must be completed within 90 days of admission unless you have been admitted in another jurisdiction for at least three years.

This one-day orientation introduces key aspects of Rhode Island practice and professionalism.

For complete information about MCLE rules, filing procedures, and exemptions, please visit the Rhode Island MCLE Commission website.

How to Complete the Requirement

The program is currently offered on-demand through the Bar’s CLE Catalog and provides an overview of Rhode Island practice and covers essential topics to help new attorneys navigate the early stages of their professional practice.

Once finished, you must log your completion with the MCLE Commission through the MCLE Portal
