Summary

This course discusses the use of life insurance to replace the tax burden lost during wealth transfer. We will go over lesser-known taxes, such as income with respect to the decedent (IRD). There is a new feature most attorneys are unaware of, which allows the owner to borrow against the death benefit in the event they need the assets for long-term care. This helps the owner avoid viatical, which has been used in the past. This seminar also covers how the SECURE Act 2.0 now impacts estate planning.
