Summary

In this workshop we review the current framework for adult use marijuana in Rhode Island and provide updates on the current status of the adult use roll out. This workshop discusses the various bodies of law that intersect with recreational marijuana, from the federal Controlled Substances Act, taxes, local zoning, securities laws, intellectual property laws, ethical considerations and unique considerations for banking and lending. In addition, we discuss lessons learned from the Massachusetts and other state recreational marijuana market for legal practitioners in assisting this burgeoning market.
