Summary

This presentation discusses elements of the survivor-empowerment model and a trauma-informed legal practice, including information about the neurobiology of trauma and counter-intuitive victim behaviors, as well as intersectional lawyering and centering a client as a whole person. The presentation includes discussion of vicarious trauma and vicarious resilience and will provide tools for attorneys to employ to make trauma-informed lawyering sustainable.
