Summary

The program will include components on brief writing, argument, and preservation, led by experienced appellate lawyers from both civil and criminal backgrounds. Topics will include identifying issues, drafting statements of fact, structuring legal arguments, preparing for oral argument, andof particular interest to trial attorneyspreserving specific objections for appellate review. There will also be a segment on judicial perspectives of appellate advocacy.
