RI Bar CLE - The Duty of Technology Competence
Wed, February 25, 2026
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM ET
This micro learning session reviews the duty of competence under the Rhode Island Rules of Professional Conduct and examines the growing expectation of technology competence. While Rhode Island has not yet adopted Comment 8 to Rule 1.1, which explicitly addresses this obligation, attorneys should prepare for its eventual adoption and begin incorporating it as a best practice now.
