The new law changes to the RI Conveyance Tax are effective as of January 1, 2022. Do you know what's changed?
 
This program reviews House Bill 6122, Substitute A, as amended, approved by the Rhode Island General Assembly and signed into law by Rhode Island Governor Daniel J. McKee on July 6, 2021, includes changes to the Rhode Island Conveyance Tax in R.I. Gen. Laws § 44-25-1, et seq. The Rhode Island Division of Taxation will discuss these changes and answer questions for practitioners. The Division will also discuss best practices for complying with R.I. Gen. Laws § 44-25-1, et seq.
