Description
This program will discuss the new Uniform Partnership Act (UPA) and Uniform Limited Partnership Act (ULPA) to become effective in Rhode Island on January 1, 2023. Updates to the Uniform Unincorporated Organization Acts will be reviewed. A comparison of the previous Rhode Island laws to these revised acts will be discussed, as will the effects on businesses moving forward.
These new Partnership and Limited Partnership laws will also serve as a foundation for the introduction next year of a comprehensive, complementary, and coordinated revision of the Rhode Island Limited Liability Company law.
