Description
At this seminar, skilled practitioners will discuss the family law issues that may arise in conjunction with The Cares Act signed into law in March of 2020. This act intended to assist families in need of immediate financial assistance due to the COVID 19 pandemic has provided individuals with advance tax credit payments.
The speakers will discuss the parallel issues that surface relating to child support/ divorce and share their strategies for handling these matters. The speakers will also discuss the ethical considerations of dealing with unrepresented/self-represented individuals will be reviewed along with a discussion of an attorney’s obligation to maintain communication with a client concerning the changes in the law during the pendency of a divorce and the possible impact the changes in the law will have on the fee arrangement between attorney and client.
