Bar’s Government Lawyers Committee Offering Free, 1-Credit CLE

10/21/2019 - The Rhode Island Bar Association’s Government Lawyers Committee is sponsoring a free-to-Bar-members, one-credit, Committee CLE seminar. On Tuesday, November 12th, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at Rhode Island Bar Association headquarters, 41 Sharpe Drive in Cranston. Rhode Island RI Office of Attorney General Civil Division Chief Rebecca Tedford Partington, Esq. and RI Office of Attorney General Assistant Attorney General Chrisanne Wyrzykowski, Esq. will present Ethics and Professionalism for Government Lawyers. The seminar will review the Rhode Island Rules of Professional Conduct, the Standards for Professional Conduct within the Rhode Island Judicial System (which you may not have known existed!), relevant case law, and personal anecdotes to address the growing trend of the lack of civility and professionalism within modern civil litigation.  What has gone wrong?  Can it be fixed?  Can an attorney behave ethically and professionally and still be a zealous advocate?  The answers should be yes!
