It will be the responsibility of this Committee to review and discuss Rhode Island judicial decisions and statutes relating to business and non-profit organizations (in particular, business and non-profit corporations, professional corporations, limited liability companies and general and limited partnerships), and trends of such laws across the nation, and, as appropriate, initiate and recommend legislation (with the appropriate approval of the Bar Association) on a continuing basis; to discuss matters relating to business and non-profit organizations practice; to act as a liaison between the Bar and the Secretary of State's office with respect to matters of interest to the business community; and to recommend CLE programs dealing with business and non-profit organizations and their concerns.
