It shall be the duty of this Committee to resolve fee disputes between bar members and their clients, or between bar members. A voluntary program serving both bar members and the public, the aim is to reduce ethics complaints, and build public confidence in the justice system. Depending upon the amount of money in dispute, matters are heard by a single arbitrator or a panel of three arbitrators. All arbitrators are volunteers, and arbitration decisions are binding on the parties.
