An Overview of the Veterans Treatment Court - IN PERSON
Additional Information:
The first of a two-part series, this nuts and bolts program provides an overview of the mission, criteria for participation, charges, and access and conditions of this court.

The Rhode Island District Court has created a Veterans Diversion Program. The program, spearheaded by Chief Judge Jeanne E. LaFazia, is specifically designed for veterans and active duty military personnel who are charged with criminal misdemeanors. Instead of prosecuting these cases through the traditional court system, the cases are resolved through an alternative sentencing program, known as Rhode Island Veterans Treatment Court.
