The URI Urban Field Center’s law related education project, The Ocean State Center for Law and Citizen Education, in collaboration with its Urban Schools Partnership Program, supports an initiative that will promote knowledge and awareness of the law within the Rhode Island Urban Community. The Urban Field Center remains committed to providing quality law and citizen education programs and training to educators, students and community leaders throughout Rhode Island.

The University of Rhode Island Urban Field Center Programs:
The URI Urban Field Center conducts its annual Law Day Program that is planned and co-sponsored by the RI Bar Association. We provide a full day program that is held at the URI Feinstein College of Continuing Education in downtown Providence. The day begins with the keynote speaker addressing the students on the topic chose for the year by the American Bar Association, a series of interactive workshops and concludes with the students coming together for lunch and a forum that will highlight their responses to current cases. The staff of the Urban Field Center recruits students from all RI High Schools to attend Law Day.
