Co-sponsored by the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) and the WBA Women of Color Committee, the Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) Women’s Leadership Conference, “Social Capital The Best Investment Women Lawyers Can Make in Today’s Changing Legal Environment”, is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, the 15th, at Suffolk University Law School. Intended to help women lawyers thrive while practicing in a stressful, demanding, and rapidly-changing profession, the conference focuses on social capital emanating from relationships developed as a person creates and maintains personal and business networks and resources. Saturday is for women attorneys and law students generally, covering effective leadership, career advancement, work/life conflict relief, business development, coping with the shrinking legal market, finding a job, and more. Sunday is for women attorneys and law students in recovery, or those who have questions or concerns about their drinking.
